Construction Updates: Highway 1416 Sanitary Sewer Project

The City of Box Elder will be providing updates to the public regarding current and anticipated impacts to traffic flows and construction activities related to the Highway 14/16 Sanitary Sewer Upgrades project. Updates will be posted on a weekly basis to the City’s website on our Engineering Department’s page and the News Section of our homepage. Updates will also be posted to the City’s Facebook and Instagram accounts. 

 

Weekly Project Highlights:

ROAD CLOSURE: Radar Hill Road Highway 14/16 Crossover - September 23rd to October 2nd
Detour and Work being completed are not anticipated to impact passerby traffic on Highway 14/16


September 22nd to September 27th:

  • In the early part of the week crews will be approaching the Radar Hill Road crossing - this crossing will be closed for their work to be completed.
  • Detour for traffic (please see map & posted detour signs enroute):
    • Westbound traffic to proceed East on Highway 14/16 and turn back West at South Gate Road.
    • Eastbound traffic to proceed West on Highway 14/16 and turn back East at next crossover.


September 29th to October 4th:

  • Work will continue in the Radar Hill Road/Highway 14/16 crossover with the roadway anticipated to reopen on or before Thursday, October 2nd. 
  • Detour for traffic to continue from previous week (see above)
  • Towards end of week, work will continue in the Highway 14/16 median, west of Radar Hill Road crossing.
