The Government Affairs Department advocates for the city’s interests, builds partnerships with all levels of government, and supports policies and initiatives that enhance the community’s well-being, growth, and resilience.

Military Affairs
Box Elder is proud to be home to Ellsworth Air Force Base, a vital part of our community and national defense. As part of our Government Affairs team, the Military Affairs Liaison plays a crucial role in strengthening the city's relationship with the base and supporting the service members, their families, and the missions associated with it.
Working closely with the Government Affairs Director, the Military Affairs Liaison serves as a direct point of contact between the City and Ellsworth leadership. Together, they collaborate on shared priorities, including infrastructure, housing, transportation, education, and quality-of-life initiatives that support both the military and civilian populations.
